THE CORE 13 GRAINS
We have often spoken of cereals and nutritional health contributions but not only has that power, also to eliminate or balance blood glucose thereby, eliminate the feeling of anxiety that gives us nibble all day.
Niceties of these foods are spoken, but it is certain that their contributions are very beneficial and menopause are real saviors of the effects of menopause.

Now I explain what they are and some important nutritional information about each one of them but do not forget that we consume regularly filled with energy, we will provide many antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates suitable for athletes.

Cereal is the king of the food product more planted and harvested throughout the world, able to grow in both very cold and very hot climates. Grains have been the staple food of all traditional cultures, but since World War II, this super food has been left out of our menus, due to increased consumption of meat, refined grains and dairy products (white rice, white bread, refined pasta, etc ...)
"From farm to fork" this theme is treated now JD Mclelland in his film The grain splits, where world-renowned chefs such as Marc Vetri or Stephen Jones, director of the renowned Bread Lab, seek the formula that guarantees culinary culture, sustainability and Human health.

Fed with whole grains is not only good for your body but also for the Earth. According to the Water Footprint Network, an organization that raises awareness about the water footprint on the planet, producing a kilo of beef it requires a whopping 15,000 liters of water, while harvesting the same amount of rice needed between 1000 and 3000 (other cereals millet and teff, resistant to drought, involving even less).

Although many scientific studies attest how good they are grain for our health, most people are still unaware of their benefits. As food, grains give us energy but calm and flexible way.

PEAS WITH ARTICHOKES
Here are two interesting products and we also promotes health. Artichokes, for everyone knows its detoxifying benefits that help to work and protect the liver, purify and that allows us to eliminate toxins helping to eliminate retained liquids. Its nutritional value is important and something interesting is that the calories you consume are not high.
Furthermore peas, contributing phytonutrients including coumestrol. Peas phytonutrients give us a lot of key antioxidants to fight different types of inflammation. Antioxidant vitamins provided by green peas are vitamin C and vitamin E, and a good amount of zinc, an antioxidant mineral also found in high proportion in peas.

Key to be added to this list, and is the omega-3 anti-inflammatory other nutrient. Recent research has shown that green peas are a great source of omega-3 in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

To take advantage of the properties of both products I suggest the following dish is not difficult to prepare and also the contribution of flavors on the palate is excellent.

Nutritional intake of artichoke and peas per 100g consumed each
(Please, see above table including all nutritional intake of artichoke and peas)

Ingredients (4 people)
500 g of peas
450gr chopped artichokes
2 hard boiled eggs
200g chopped onion
150g peeled and cut red tomato pieces.
1 small glass of brandy
1 bunch of herbs
Olive oil
Salt and ground black pepper

preparation:
Put a little oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped onion with a knife; Once browned, add the tomatoes and bunch of herbs.
Allow the sauce to go concentrating and then add the peas and artichokes directly frozen.
Pour a bucket of water or broth into the pan and brandy. Add salt and pepper to taste, cover the pan. Let simmer until ready. If you see that the liquid is consumed and still lacks cooking, add a little more water or stock, depending on the consistency of the broth.
Serving dishes and garnish with boiled egg.
