The disease of the office
When we speak of ailments produced by work, we are not aware that what we mean is that we suffer ailments from an excess of work hours, bad habits and excess of responsibility.
Working many hours sitting, for a body designed to be in motion, is a problem that negatively affects us. Our back hurts, the cervicals, the circulation is not good, it produces anxiety, stress difficult to manage, sometimes.

But the office is not the only cause of ailments, if we change jobs as an assembly line, behind a counter serving people ... we would see that the ailments would appear in the same way though different. Each job has its pros and cons, therefore, it is necessary to make small changes so that movement or rest take place at some time.
For example, the view. Having your eyes fixed at a certain distance for eight hours, arriving home and hooking up to a Tablet and continuing causes the eye to become tired and the problems of myopia and presbyopia become apparent sooner. The mouse can also be a problem since the upper body is loaded and can cause tendonitis, cervical load, contractures ... so it is important to make small stops or breaks to change position and relax the body even if only a few minutes. It is important that in our free time we do activities different from those we do in the office, that is, if we have a screen all day, it is important that we rest from electronic devices for a few hours, to relax the view, the upper train and avoid greater evils.

Work under pressure as production chains that rhythms are marked by a clock, incentives to reach specific targets, jobs that are based on solving problems ... make stress, anxiety make us not sleep well, we have stomach ailments for Nerves, etc ...
Other important problems are those suffered by doctors, nurses or staff who must continually change work shifts including guards. This makes a human body not made to work at night, it adapts to continuous sleep breaks, changes of intermittent habits, in short, constantly changing the whole system that a human body needs to function normally and to the maximum.

That is easy to understand if we take into account that when we travel on vacation to other slots, our body suffers changes in sleep, mood, nerves, restlessness, uneasiness ... producing episodes of stress. This situation, transferred to daily life, where each shift is changed or one must be on guard every few hours for an emergency, can cause our nervous and immune system to suffer over time.
The back suffers when we have been sitting for eight hours or more almost without moving the initial posture. The chair should be comfortable and it is important that it is but it is even more important that our position is correct and we move from time to time.
The shoulders, wrist and cervical. Everything suffers if we do not have the correct angle on the work table and we do not modify our posture or movement during the eight hours of work. It is important to rest and move your hands and wrists from time to time to relax them, otherwise we will end up with shoulder pain, neck pain and tendonitis.

Another important issue is the meals. It is true that eating healthy is important but it is also healthy to eat outside the office table. It's just as bad to eat fast food as eating a salad on the table in the office, continuing with work. Do not eat fatty foods, eat small amounts, take a break for intake, avoid salt ... they will help you to continue working without suffering the ravages of bad digestion, drowsiness or stomach pain.

We just have to try to put some small barrier to human labor demands and current conditions imposed by employers or by ourselves to be recognized. Let's not fall for that deception. It will lead to many mistakes and these efforts are not always rewarded.
