No

LEAVING THE MOBILE FOR THREE DAYS
Today it is a
challenge to leave or forget the mobile for three days. Not because we are busy
and the phone does not stop ringing, it is because our addiction to it is so
great that even if they do not send us anything, we do it and we can be
continuously immersed in the screen. Who says mobile, says pc or any device
that connects us to the Internet and therefore, to the outside, making us
forget our own life and what surrounds us, making us more and more dependent on
a machine and more solitary and disconnected.
But we will
put solution for three days. Three days that forced us to abandon all kinds of
devices and become aware of our environment and our time. 12 people accepted
the challenge of being on an island of retirement. The goal is to be resting
away from the madding crowd without any outside connection. The participants do
not have any relation between them neither personal nor professional, some are
marketing professionals, others security, rescue ... but with something in
common, everyone needs to stop along the way. Everyone has their own reasons
why they have accepted this challenge, without family, wives, girlfriends ...
nothing.
Upon arriving
at the indicated place, there is a talk about the program that will be
developed during the days that will last the experience but before they are
given some bags so they can put their phones or devices since no activity
requires photos or retransmissions of what is being done. It would not make
sense. There is no internet in the hotel rooms and everything that can put them
in contact with the outside disappears until the day of return.
The first
topic to touch is the technological detoxification, in which each person can
give their opinion freely. The group, having nothing in common, relates well
and without problems. But there is no obligation to relate, if you do not want
to. Everyone is free to do what they want, be alone, accompanied, participate
in activities, relate and cultivate sociability ... everyone manages their
time, although it is true that the activities are designed to stimulate
feelings, share and talk .
Without a
doubt, Yoga is present throughout the weekend. Also the Mindfulness that is
practiced among the trees. In some case with tangerines. An experience where
they teach us to become aware of the fruit, the taste, the smell, the form ...
not just ingest without thinking or give us time to know what we are doing
consciously.
Meals and
dinners are made as a group. This part forms an ecological catering. This is
the moment where all the participants know each other better even though on
Saturday everything will face a meal in total silence. In this way, everyone
will have the opportunity to concentrate on the act of the moment, chew, savor
slowly and concentrate on what they eat. As for the dinners, after the
ingestion there is meditation with Tibetan bowls, something that helps to relax
and take our notion of ourselves.
After this
experience, all conclude that they will repeat the experience, that they have
left behind prejudices. But before leaving everyone returns to share the moment
of goodbye. The price for the activity is not too burdensome taking into
account everything you take at the end of the weekend that is inner peace,
knowing that without technology you can live a weekend and the friends you
make.
