ICONOS DE LA MODA DESPUÉS DE LOS 60 AÑOS

Cuando hablamos de moda siempre centramos nuestra

visión en jóvenes modelos con cuerpos increíbles, piel tersa y lozana, nada de arrugas y las pocas marcas de expresión que puedan tener son cubiertas por esos magos de la cosmética profesional.

Pero lo importante es saber y poder ver que después de los 60 también puede haber belleza y moda con cuerpos elegantes y de eso hablaremos hoy de algunas mujeres que ya han cumplido los 60 años pero que siguen siendo iconos para muchos de nosotros.

Lyn Slater tiene 63 años. Es profesora de universidad pero su blog Accidental Icon la ha convertido en una referencia de estilo. Lyn Slater video. Carmen Dell’Orefice, es un icono de moda desde siempre. De hecho, yo ya hice un post sobre ella y su gran personalidad y gusto. Su puesta en pasarela, nada tiene que envidiar a ninguna Top model joven. Irradia fuerza, elegancia, modernidad y tiene 85 años. Lleva desde los 15 años en el mundo de la moda y eso la convierte en la modelo de mayor trayectoria profesional hasta el momento.

Otra mujer para quitarse el sombrero es Iris Apfel, de la cual también hice otro post hablando solo de ella y de su forma de vivir la vida. Es la más longeva de este post 95 años y es fácil reconocerla por sus complementos coloridos y de grandes volúmenes. En el 2005 el Metropolitan de Nueva York le dedicó la exposición Rara Avis: Selections from the Iris Apfel collection.  Sus combinaciones de colores, prendas de todo nivel económico hace de ella una mujer excepcional y vital.

Daphne Selfe tiene 89 años y ha participado en campañas de firmas tan reconocidas como Dolce&Gabbana o  &Other Stories. Su carrera despegó a los 70 años cumplidos y todavía sigue desmontando tabúes y estereotipos. No disimula sus arrugas y tampoco su pelo canoso. Saca partido de su melena gris dándole un aire bohemio , natural y chic. Sus estilismos son modernos pero

adecuados aunque quizás encontraríamos detractores tildándolos de inapropiados.

Otra longeva modelo es Costanza Pascolato, 78 años, Italiana y considerada en Brasil como la Papisa de la moda. Es consultora de moda y ha publicado varios libros. Su estilo es más sobrio pero elegante y utilizando el negro como fondo perfecto para poder resaltar cualquier color brillante.

Ella llegó a Brasil a los cinco años. Sus padre fundaron la empresa de Tejidos de Santa  Constancia. Cuando su padre murió, ella tomó las riendas del negocio familiar, convirtiéndose en una de las empresas más grandes del país.

Fue consultora para la revista de moda Claudia, firmó durante años una columna de moda en el periódico Folha de São Paulo, el más vendido, y posteriormente pasó a formar parte del equipo de la revista Vogue Brasil. Orgullosa de sus años, 73, mantiene un enfoque juvenil en su estilo impecable. Pascolato puede ser reconocida por sus gafas de sol de gran tamaño y su pelo distintivo, una especie de tupé alto de la cabeza.

Es importante visibilizar, también a mujeres de edad avanzada con éxito y con una vida intensa demostrando que los años no son una barrera si la salud respeta. Lo más importante es la actitud de cada uno para llevar a cabo retos y avances.

When we talk about fashion we always focus our vision on young models with incredible bodies, smooth and fresh skin, no wrinkles and the few marks of expression they may have are covered by those magicians of professional cosmetics.

She was a consultant for the fashion magazine Claudia, signed for years a fashion column in the Folha de São Paulo newspaper, the best seller, and later became part of the team of Vogue Brasil magazine.
