Esta semana
hemos hecho una excursión muy interesante que nos ha ofrecido cultura y
deporte.
Empezamos
tomando un café en Celanova y visitando el monasterio de San Rosendo así como
la capilla de San Miguel una joya del Prerrománico (mozárabe).
El monasterio
de San Rosendo, fundado por San Rosendo, en el año 936, es el principal
monumento de la villa gallega de Celanova en la provincia de Orense. Sugiero no
perder de visitar esta joya que guarda tanta belleza en su interior. No
explicaré nada más pues a nivel artístico se puede visitar Wikipedia o
cualquier bloc de arte .
La visita al
interior de San Miguel fue interesante ya que nunca pensé que una ermita tan
pequeña hecha para uso familiar fuera tan bella por dentro. Esta toda encalada
pero su cúpula y su suelo, que todavía hay mosaico original en colores verdes
me pareció de gran belleza.

Después de la
visita cultural empezamos a andar saliendo del pueblo por una empinada cuesta llegando
a La Obra. Nos acercamos hasta el Monte de la Cruz del cual se pueden ver unas
panorámicas muy bonitas. De allí, nos dirigimos a la aldea de Castromao (en
fase de excavación). Tuvimos suerte porque hacía poco se había desbrozado todo
y por tanto, pudimos ver el castro y sus dimensiones. Aunque debo quejarme ya
que un sitio tan interesante y grande y no había puesto ni un solo cartel
explicativo. Perdón, si había uno pero estaba tirado en el suelo sin colocar.
Creo que debemos cuidar el patrimonio que tenemos y eso empieza con el ejemplo
y por dar facilidades a los visitantes para conocer. Bueno lo dejo aquí…
Continuamos por la muralla defensiva del castro hasta llegar dirección a
Vilanova dos Infantes.
Todo el camino
fue interesante y bonito por su naturaleza y por el día que nos hizo que fue
maravilloso con sol y calor. Durante el camino nos encontramos laureles,
castaños, robles, sauces… y árboles frutales como manzanos, higueras, maracuyás
dulces, cerezos, moreras… la verdad es que nunca vi una tierra tan fértil y
llena de vida. Podéis imaginar que durante todo el camino, aparte de hablar y
disfrutar el paisaje y la compañía, también habían ratos para hidratarse y
comer fruta natural, eso sí, siempre que estuviera fuera de propiedades particulares.
En Vilanova
dos infantes visitamos la Torre da Homenaxe y la Cova de San vivián. Un lugar
interesante para visitar y escuchar a la guía. Donde explica que ese lugar fue
un lugar de zapateros importante pero que poco a poco fueron desapareciendo quedando
el pueblo como lugar de veraneo con muy pocos habitantes durante todo el
año. De allí, nos dirigimos a O Cristal
donde hay un santuario dedicado a esta virgen que se trata de una diminuta
imagen encontrada por un labrador en el siglo XVII y que tiene una historia
desarrollada por un poeta local llamado Curros Enríquez. Esta imagen estaba
custodiada, actualmente, en la casa
parroquial por el párroco de la villa y el 11 de marzo de 2015, unos
ladrones, roban la imagen da Virxe don cristal, y asesinan al cura párroco D.
Adolfo Enríquez, que a día de hoy es considerado un mártir en el pueblo. A día
de hoy esta imagen no se ha encontrado. Ahora hay una réplica en sustitución.
Aquí se
termina toda nuestra excursión que fue muy interesante e intensa. Me encanto y
espero que alguien la haga porque merece la pena.

CELANOVA: THE ROUTE OF THE POETS
This week we
have made a very interesting excursion that has offered us culture and sport.
We started by
having a coffee in Celanova and visiting the monastery of San Rosendo as well
as the chapel of San Miguel a jewel of the Pre-Romanesque (Mozarabic).

The monastery
of San Rosendo, founded by San Rosendo, in the year 936, is the main monument
of the Galician town of Celanova in the province of Orense. I suggest not to
miss visiting this jewel that keeps so much beauty inside. I will not explain
anything else because at an artistic level you can visit Wikipedia or any art
block.
The visit to
the interior of San Miguel was interesting since I never thought that such a
small hermitage made for family use was so beautiful inside. It is all
whitewashed but its dome and its floor, which still has original mosaic in
green colors, seemed to me of great beauty.
After the
cultural visit we started walking out of the village along a steep hill
reaching La Obra. We go to Monte de la Cruz, from which you can see very
beautiful panoramic views. From there, we go to the village of Castromao (in
the excavation phase). We were lucky because it had recently cleared everything
and therefore, we could see the fort and its dimensions. Although I must
complain because a site so interesting and large and had not put even a single
explanatory sign. Sorry, if there was one but I was lying on the floor without
placing. I think we should take care of the heritage we have and that starts
with the example and by providing facilities for visitors to meet. Well I leave
here ... We continue through the defensive wall of the fort until we reach
Vilanova dos Infantes.
The whole way
was interesting and beautiful by its nature and by the day that made us it was
wonderful with sun and heat. Along the way we find laurels, chestnuts, oaks,
willows ... and fruit trees such as apple trees, fig trees, sweet passion
fruit, cherry trees, mulberry trees ... the truth is that I never saw a land so
fertile and full of life. You can imagine that all along the way, apart from
talking and enjoying the landscape and the company, there were also times to
get hydrated and eat natural fruit, provided that it was outside of particular
properties.
In Vilanova
two infants we visited the Torre da Homenaxe and the Cova de San vivián. An
interesting place to visit and listen to the guide. Where explains that this
place was a place of important shoemakers but little by little they were
disappearing, leaving the town as a summer resort with very few inhabitants
throughout the year. From there, we went to O Cristal where there is a shrine
dedicated to this virgin that is a tiny image found by a farmer in the
seventeenth century and has a story developed by a local poet called Curros
Enríquez. This image was guarded, currently, in the parish house by the parish
priest of the village and on March 11, 2015, some thieves steal the image of
Virxe don cristal, and assassinate the parish priest D. Adolfo Enríquez, who
today he is considered a martyr in the village. As of today this image has not
been found. Now there is a replacement replica.
This is the
end of our whole excursion, which was very interesting and intense. I love it and
I hope someone does it because it's worth it.
