Mujeres guardaespaldas

Los Presidentes de gobierno, altos directivos, Reyes… todos poseen cuerpos de seguridad pero las primeras damas , consortes… también, la única diferencia es el sexo de dicho cuerpo que en su mayoría se trata de mujeres. Mujeres que velan por la seguridad de estas mujeres, mujeres duramente preparadas para poder proteger a esas mujeres importantes. Mujeres que pasan desapercibidas para poder hacer mejor su trabajo que es proteger y no ser reconocidas por seguridad de ambas.

No pasemos por alto este dato, más del 10%-12%  de los integrantes de las Unidades de Protección en la Policía Nacional y la Guardia Civil son mujeres. De los 2500 escoltas privados en activo, sobre el 5% son mujeres.

Todos tenemos clichés preconcebidos de cómo tiene que ser un guardaespaldas : espaldas anchas, traje discreto pero de buen corte, gafas oscuras y caras serias pero hay otro “prototipo” de guardaespaldas. Una de las mujeres que ejercen como bodyguard (no daremos el nombre) es una mujer cordial, femenina, madre de cuatro hijos. Lleva más de 12 años en esta profesión y trabaja para una de las más prestigiosas empresas del sector seguridad. Ha tenido asignada la seguridad de políticos, millonarios, artistas, celebrities y hasta un banquero amenazado.

Sin embargo, no todo es de color de rosa. Su entrenamiento como el de cualquier guardaespaldas es muy riguroso aunque su trabajo se basa más en la psicología y la observación que en la musculatura. La mayor parte del tiempo es un trabajo de oficina, donde se planifica, se evitan rutinas, se programan itinerarios, preparación rutas de evacuación o plan B… pero no hay duda que todo suma en un caso de riesgo.

Por otro lado, también se forman en tiro, conducción defensiva y evasiva, idiomas y cultura general y protocolo. Como vemos, ser guardaespaldas no es solo cuestión de gimnasio y pruebas duras, es cuestión de una disciplina  y esfuerzo férreo. Toda preparación es poca para sentirse segura y saber cómo actuar.

Cuando se habla de integración , parte difícil dentro de un mundo de hombres, se hace con total integración debido a que las pruebas y la preparación es dura para todos y acostumbran a estar más preparadas ellas que ellos debido a las exigencias generales. El motivo, esfuerzo doble para que nadie pueda poner en duda su valía y cualificación.

Pero no solo es importante la preparación física y cultural, también es necesario tener un carácter frio que te permita pensar en momentos extremos y complicados. Mantener la calma es esencial.

Ser una mujer guardaspaldas también tiene su ventaja, dicen algunas de ellas, porque pasan más desapercibidas y su condición de mujer hace que no sean el foco de atención. Por eso, en algunas ocasiones, hay grupos de seguridad compuesto por hombres “armario” y alguna chica sentada cerca , con la que nadie repara pero también pertenece a ese grupo. Gracias a ese prejuicio, se logran niveles de seguridad muy altos.

En Francia, sophie Hatt , fue durante cinco años la responsable de seguridad del jefe de Estado de Françoise Hollande y ha pasado a ser la única mujer en el mundo al mando de la seguridad total de un jefe de Estado.

Kate Middelton está protegida por una mujer, miembro de la unidad de Scotland Yard. Se la puede ver tanto vestida con traje masculino como con vestido de cócktel y pamela. Siempre se la ve al lado de la duquesa de Cambridge.

La demanda de mujeres bien preparadas y experimentadas en la protección de personas va en aumento. A ellas recurren actrices, o escritoras pero todavía quedan clientes que prefieren hombres ya que no se fían prefiriendo alardear de poder y fuerza.

Poco a poco las mujeres van ganando terreno en campos muy difíciles de acceder gracias a su potencial y a la necesidad de proteger a otras mujeres y niños. Estas preferencias son debidas a que hay que convivir todo el día con el protegido y no siempre es agradable compartir momentos un tanto íntimos con hombres, siendo preferible la compañía de una mujer. O también en países donde las mujeres no pueden ir acompañadas de otros hombres y por tanto, la seguridad viene dada por otras mujeres.

En cualquier caso me alegro que las mujeres empecemos a estar en lugares que se nos había vetado la entrada o era impensable acceder.

Thanks to this prejudice, very high security levels are achieved.
