estudio: “ me hicieron unas plantillas personalizadas y me dieron unas cuantas

This is a story of a person who wanted to start
running and participate in races but first had to overcome odd drawback for their
effort is not harmful to him and his health and while his start was successful.
The first test was the tread which is one of
the most important to help improve the times and technology, and to avoid
possible injury and pathology tests.
But after stress test, we will discuss in
another post, a study had to tread. After the study: "They made me some
custom templates and gave me a few pointers with which to improve my technique
race."
What it is done in a study of tread?
A specialist doctor, talking about sporting
habits and everyday: what type of footwear is used daily, if you regularly go
to the podiatrist or physiotherapist, previous injuries or diseases, etc. From
there we went to a first scan on a stretcher, where we discussed if we are a
little tense or fascia, because sometimes, no pain is experienced no pressure
is exerted.
After biomechanical study had to tread:
Discalced and placed on a platform of pressure the doctor performs various
tests to assess how your weight is distributed on both feet, which is my kind
of tread, how are oriented knees or if there biomechanical compensation to
improve the position of the feet. The most important conclusions were that had
marked pronation in the tread (the weight falls on the inner edge of the sole,
the closest to the big toe) and my knees are valgus (ie, projected toward the
center, possibly due to my type of tread). All other tests were successful, and
the distribution of pressure on both feet was similar.
After this static analysis, dynamic Dr.
appreciated, making walking on the platform first pressure to see how it
changes my footprint to move. Also evaluates videotaping high speed while
walking and running, both barefoot and with sports shoes. This gave a lot of
information about what to improve running technique: it comes too supporting
the heel when it should focus on land with the midfoot, and should also
concentrate on supporting more weight on the outer side area to compensate
pronation. Furthermore, in the video you can see how the race the toes point
outward, which wastes time and energy in having to rectify tread the path to
move forward.
The doctor determined that some templates made
specifically for the foot with 3D technology Scan Podoactiva Sport could help
improve tread on my career. They are made very easily: simply place your foot
on a platform that makes a virtual image of the foot 3D laser technology. So a
fully customized for each patient templates are created.
Derbi hobbies: all downhill, and I saved
templates!
Last Sunday's derby Hobbies, it was my first
race with templates, he says took place. The I tried before running a couple of
days and wearing them during the day to go getting used and I do not scuff your
feet on the day of the race. I was a bit worried, because this race is almost
all downhill except for the first kilometer, from the Bernabeu to the Vicente
Calderon, with a vertical drop of 300 meters. When my knee suffers most is in
the declines, so I do not know if I would be able to finish it or would have to
stop at some point.
I started from a chronic disease in Ankle
instability caused by poorly healed several sprains his left ankle that also
affects my knee and that, ultimately, can become a patellar chondromalacia (a
disease that involves degeneration the cartilage of the knee), also known as
"runner's knee". This condition makes for a long and intense effort
to see me forced to stop pain, and especially affects me in activities such as
running or skiing, where the load on the knee is higher.
On Sunday morning I slipped on my shoes with
templates, I put my white team shirt and went to the Bernebeu wondering if you
could cross the finish line. We started to run about 09:10: the first kilometer
of phenomenal rise, then touched down all Castellana. It was comfortable, at a
better rate than I usually wear floor without any pain in the joints. When next
thing I knew we were in the Puerta del Sol, reaching kilometer eight and still
very fresh and without pain despite the decline and the fast pace.
I not only crossed the finish line, but I
improved my time from last year's 10 kilometers in nearly five minutes! When I
got home all day and did not feel any pain when that is the default for me
after finishing a race. A few stretches and rest for the next.
The use of templates and have worked on
correcting my tread with directions I gave Dr. Martin enabled the pain did not
appear and could improve my times. A study of tread not only tells you if you
pronator or supinator, it can help you become a more effective runner and run
more safely. Personal account written by Raquel Rodriguez.
