COLOMBIA: BOGOTÁ

Estoy en Bogotá.  Todo es nuevo para mí  y no es fácil moverse por las dimensiones de la ciudad y por las calles que aunque tienen un sistema muy ordenado aclararse necesita de concentración pero  debido a las personas tan amables que hay nada es muy complicado.

Cada tarde llueve, pero cuidado, diluvia luego para y salvo en alguna ocasión continua lloviendo pero por lo menos me da una tregua hasta las cuatro y media de la tarde.

La ciudad es bonita y tiene muchos pulmones ( parques) donde encuentras muchísimos árboles y plantas tropicales, la verdad es que es un placer pasear y ver el bullicio de un día de diario.

Lo primero que visité  fue el Parque 93, bonito con un aire chic muy bien vigilado y cuidado con esmero.

Todo el parque está rodeado de restaurantes de todo tipo además de cafeterías y cervecerías.

Yo tomé un café en Juan Valdez increíble pero me puso las pilas para todo el día con canela y cacao. Buenísimo, si tenéis ocasión tomaros uno vale la pena tomárselo sentada en la terraza viendo el parque y a la gente.

Luego fui a visitar unos grandes almacenes muy bonitos y con productos de gran calidad y diseño. Hay que decir que las mujeres son elegantes y visten bien y los hombres también así que encontraréis una ciudad con clase y agradable, a pesar de los peligros.

Luego fui a comer a un restaurante que me llamo la atención su reclamo publicitario en la puerta, Restaurante de cocinaconsciente. Cocina orgánica. La verdad es que me sorprendio, entré y vi un restaurante que daba la imagen de colonial, fresco , limpio y agradable como su comida.

En las paredes rezaban varias frases pero hubo dos que me encantaron , una “ globalizamos ideas, localizamos comida” y otra “alimenta tu alma, cura tu cuerpo y divierte tu mente” esta me fascino porque sería un eslogan perfecto para como resumen de la nutrición con sentido común.

La verdad es que fueron fieles a los slogan y a la política del chef, cocina de temporada, con productos frescos, llenos de nutrientes pero sobre todo muy bien cocinado, al dente con semillas, verduras, brotes, etc …

He visitado la Candelaria, el centro histórico de Bogotá . Es un barrio colonial,
alegre y animado. Hay una mezcla importante de casas históricas bien reformadas y cuidadas mezcladas con construcciones  de épocas más modernas .

Para ubicarme, me centro en la Plaza  Bolívar, donde se encuentra una estatua de Simón Bolívar en bronce.

De todas las edificaciones que envuelven la plaza sólo una  es de estilo colonial , la capilla del  Sagrario, el resto son más cercanas a nuestros días y de diferentes estilos.

Si vamos hacia el Norte, podremos visitar la Iglesia de San Francisco, no os lo perdáis, es bonita y tiene un retablo inmenso y un poco más arriba nos encontramos con el Museo de Oro.

Si cogemos la carrera 6 y giramos por la calle 11 hacia el este, podremos visitar el Museo Botero y la Iglesia de la Candelaria.

Merece la pena visitar algunas iglesias por dentro pues están muy bien decoradas pudiendo ver detalles de
estilo mudéjar en alguna de ellas.

Una vez terminé esta zona me fui hacia la calle 10 dirección oeste para visitarla pues está llena de lugares hermosos e históricos que visitar aun mi fijación era llegar a la calle 8 y ver la Iglesia de Santa Clara y el claustro de San Agustín.  Muy cerquita hay unas paradas de artesanía que nos muestran la cultura desde sus raíces y que también merece la pena echar un vistazo, y por qué no, comprar algún recuerdo.

Os aconsejo que al hacer este recorrido os calcéis cómodos pues parece algo corto pero de dar vueltas uno acaba haciendo bastantes kilómetros al día. Ah y coged paraguas por si acaso pues a mí me callo un diluvio en Monserrate

Una de las cosas que más me gusto fue el museo Botero que se distribuye en dos plantas. Se encuentra tras un patio lleno de fuentes y una tiendecita. Su parte frontal alberga varias salas dedicadas a todo lo orondo: manos, naranjas, mujeres, etc… todo ello, robustos y cuadrados. Estas obras las cedió Fernando Botero pero no solo se puede ver sus esculturas, también se puede ver lienzos de Picasso, Chagall, Renoir, Monet, Miró, esculturas de Dalí… y todo GRATIS.

Eso lo pongo en mayúsculas porque creo que la cultura debería ser gratis y no ofrecerla a precios altos que no todo el mundo puede pagar y por tanto debe prohibirse de culturizarse y adquirir valor añadido.

Otro sitio que me encanto fue el Museo del Oro. Contiene más de 55000 piezas 
de oro y otros materiales de culturas prehispánicas de Colombia. Están expuestas en salas temáticas, que siguen un orden lógico en tres pisos.

En el segundo piso se analiza el descubrimiento de la región y explican la utilidad de cada pieza. La tercera planta “La ofrenda”, explica el uso del oro en los rituales.

Otro lugar interesante es la Iglesia de San Francisco, es la más antigua que queda en Bogotá. El retablo es muy interesante, dorado del siglo XVII.

Este es uno de los mejores museos que he visto no solo por las piezas exhibidas, sino por el diseño, pedagogía  y audiovisuales.

Otro sitio que recomiendo es visitar el cerro de Monserrate. Tiene una altitud de 3142m. coronado por una iglesia blanca. Se encuentra a 1,5km de la Candelaria. La iglesia es la cima, es un lugar de peregrinaje, debido a la imagen supuestamente milagrosa del altar de la iglesia del
Señor Caído, que data de la década de 1650. Si no se va en fin de semana, es aconsejable tomar el teleférico o el funicular. Tiene unos jardines maravillosos y es bonito pasear por el vía crucis. Si vais en Navidad veréis que por toda la montaña tienen puesto el Belén, los camellos y los reyes magos, estrellas… todo de luces de colores que cuando oscurece debe estar espectacular.

Monserrate

Otro lugar de interés que no os lo podéis perder son las minas de sal que se encuentran al norte de Bogota  Zipaguirá. Lamentablemente, yo no pude ir pero la próxima vez será.

Se excavó entre 1991 y 1995. Se sacaron un total de 250,000 toneladas de sal. Las ruta recorre los 13 pasos del Vía Crucis de Jesucristo, con cruces vacías que simbolizan la desnudez o la muerte. La relación que hay entre la sal y la religión  es que se construyeron altares porque el trabajo en las minas era peligrosos, pero al final las minas han acabado convirtiéndose en un templo. Los domingos se ofician misas en la larga mina de 75m, con capacidad para 8400 personas.

Como podéis ver , esta ciudad da para mucho , esto solo es algo para los tres días que estuve pero hay mucho más.

I'm in Bogota. Everything is new for me and it is not easy to get the size of the city and the streets that although they have a very clear need to concentrate ordered but because people there are so friendly nothing is too complicated.

Every afternoon rains , but beware , it pours and then for continuous except occasionally raining but at least it gives me a truce until four thirty in the afternoon.

The city is beautiful and has many lungs (parks) where you find many trees and tropical plants , the truth is that it is a pleasure to walk and watch the bustle of a weekday .

The first I visited was the Parque 93 , pretty with a chic air very well guarded and carefully preserved .

The entire park is surrounded by restaurants of all kinds as well as cafés and brasseries .

I took a coffee at Juan Valdez incredible but I put the batteries for the day with cinnamon and cocoa. Great, if you have occasion to assail one worth taking it sitting on the deck watching the park and people.

Then I went to visit a department store very nice and high quality products and design. Note that stylish women and men dress well also find a city so classy and nice , despite the dangers .

Then I went to eat at a restaurant that caught my attention it advertised on the door , conscious cuisine restaurant . Organic Kitchen . The truth is that I was surprised , I went and saw a restaurant overlooking the colonial image , fresh, clean and pleasant as their food .

On the walls prayed several phrases but there were two that I loved , a ' globalize ideas, locate food " and other " feeds your soul , heal your body and your mind sports " this fascinated me because it would be a perfect slogan for nutrition as summary common sense .

The truth is that they were faithful to the political slogan and chef's seasonal cuisine, with fresh , full of nutrients but especially beautifully cooked, al dente with seeds , vegetables , sprouts , etc. ...

I visited the Candelaria , the historical center of Bogotá. It is a colonial neighborhood , cheerful and lively. There is a heavy mix of historic houses well maintained refurbished buildings mixed with modern times .

To reach me , I focus on the Plaza Bolivar , where a statue of Simon Bolivar in bronze.

Of all the buildings that surround the square is just a colonial style , the chapel of the Shrine , the rest are closer to our times and in different styles .

If we go north, we visit the Church of San Francisco , do not miss it , it's pretty and has a huge altarpiece and a little higher up we find the Gold Museum

If we take the race 6 and turn onto 11th Street to the east, we visit the Botero Museum and the Church of the Candelaria .

Worth a visit inside some churches are beautifully decorated as being able to see details of Moorish style in one of them .

Once finished this area I went to 10th Street west to visit as it is full of beautiful and historical places to visit even my posting was to reach 8th Street and see the Church of Santa Clara and San Augustine cloister . Very close there are craft stalls that show the culture from its roots and that is also worth a look, and why not , buy a souvenir .

I advise you to do this tour because I calcéis seems comfortable spinning short but you end up doing many miles . Oh and grab umbrella in case it to me in a flood Monserrate callus

One of the things I liked was the Botero museum is spread over two floors . It lies behind a courtyard filled with fountains and a little shop . Its front has several rooms dedicated to plump everything : hands , oranges , women, etc ... all this, robust and square . These works gave Fernando Botero but can only see his sculptures , you can also see paintings by Picasso , Chagall , Renoir , Monet , Miró , Dalí sculptures ... and all for FREE .

That it my case because I think that culture should be free and not to offer at high prices that everyone can afford and therefore should be banned from culturizarse and purchase value.

Another site that I loved was the Gold Museum contains more than 55,000 pieces of gold and other materials pre-Hispanic cultures of Colombia . They are exposed in themed rooms , which follow a logical order on three floors.

In the second story discusses the discovery of the region and explain the significance of each piece . The third floor " The Offering " , explains the use of gold in rituals.

Another interesting place is the Church of San Francisco , is the oldest remaining in Bogota. The altarpiece is very interesting , gold seventeenth century .

This is one of the best museums I have seen not only the exhibits , but by design, pedagogy and audiovisual .

Another site I recommend is to visit the hill of Monserrate . It has an altitude of 3142m . topped by a white church . It is 1.5 km from the Candelaria . The church is the top, is a place of pilgrimage , because supposedly miraculous image of the altar of the church of God Fallen , dating from the 1650s . If you are going on a weekend , it is advisable to take the cable car or funicular. It has wonderful grounds and is nice stroll along the Via Dolorosa . If you go at Christmas you will see that the whole mountain have put the Bethlehem , camels and wise men , stars ... all lights when it gets dark colors should be spectacular.

Another place of interest that you can not miss the salt mines are found north of Bogota Zipaguirá . Unfortunately , I could not go but next time will be.

As you can see , this city is quite enough, this is just something for the three days I was but there is more .
