a ella.
No olvidemos

PINEAPPLE: A GOOD DIURETIC ALTERNATIVE
Years ago,
pineapple was a fruit that was on the market only at Christmas and only a few
bought it because of its price. Now, it is a fruit that can be found throughout
the year in the market at reasonable prices.
This fruit is
composed of 86% water and 10% natural sugars, fiber, folic acid and
antioxidants. It contributes few calories and has, among others, bromelain
which is a plant enzyme found in the center of the pineapple (harder part) that
taken in high doses has anti-inflammatory properties. Ingested in normal
amounts, they help to digest proteins, therefore, taking it as a dessert helps
digestion. The pineapple should be eaten naturally, not preserved, if possible.
But bromelain
not only serves to digest proteins but it has proven its power to digest fats,
therefore, it is a fruit suitable for inclusion in the diet, helping to
satiate, burn fat and make a good digestion.
Another
benefit that gives us its content in pectin, soluble fiber helps regulate
intestinal transit relieving constipation.
Another
goodness of this fruit is its depurative power due to the potassium it contains
that neutralizes sodium, helping to eliminate the water retained from the body.
However, its benefits are broad. They have antioxidants: vitamin C, malic and
citric acids that enhance the antioxidant effect in this vitamin.
This fruit, as a rule, does not present
contraindications unless we are allergic to it. The reactions that can cause
this type of allergy can be serious, so any allergic person should avoid 100%
consumption of it. Some characteristics that can be given are, vomiting,
flatulence, cramps, can affect the respiratory system ... as you can see realize
this allergy is not difficult and we must be very aware of our reaction when we
ingest it.
Although the
properties of the pineapple are, in general, very beneficial for the human
there is something to take into account and it is the consumption of bromelain
that can lead us to be bad. However, the consumption of bromelain is considered
a safe supplement when taken under the prescription of a professional.
Do not forget
that if we make a "normal" consumption, in principle, there would be
no problem but if the quantities are higher, then it is always good to consult
a specialist to advise us taking the best decision for our health.
Now that the
good weather arrives, the pineapple is perfect to make a good juice including
mint leaves and a splash of lemon, or mixing it with another fruit enhancing
its properties for the human.
In summer or
now in spring, it is perfect for a snack, because it satisfies and releases
liquids.
