Los secretos de Täo Porchon-Lynch, la profesora
de yoga de 98 años
Ciertamente,
entender y modificar nuestro día y luego nuestra vida diaria.
¿En cuántas ocasiones has
nada”.

The secrets of Täo
Porchon-Lynch, the 98-year-old yoga teacher
Certainly, we mime are our own enemies and to
demonstrate this we have an example and a reference to follow. However, it is
important to keep in mind that before reading the post we should start thinking
that a "I can not" or "I will not be able" should be
removed from our mind. Only then will we be able to understand and modify our
day and then our daily life.
Täo Porchon-Lynch is more than a yoga teacher,
for most of her students she is a 98-year-old guide to life.
In love with good wine, soft-spoken and dressed
in pronounced heels and great tendrils, Porchon-Lynch asserts that she is a
lucky person.
"Nothing is impossible, it's like when you
get up and tell yourself that this is going to be the best of your day. And it
will be," he told the BBC.
"If you put your thoughts on something
positive it will be able to materialize, do not think about bad things, that
has helped me."
In this post we will have the opportunity to
read some of his phrases, positive phrases that can help us if we read them and
think about it in depth, if something we want to change in our lives.
Biography
Born in India in 1918, Porchon-Lynh has led a
life worthy of being taken to the movies.
Eight years later, he discovered yoga when he
saw children on the beach contorting their bodies for strange postures.
"I went to my aunt and asked her 'would
they let me do it?' She responded, 'That's not a game, it's yoga, and it's not
for the girls.' That's when I started doing it, "she told the New York
Times newspaper, where she lives when she is not traveling. around the world.
In addition to devoting her life to the ancient
practice of yoga,
Porchon-Lynch also participates in ballroom dancing
competitions alongside couples who are more than 70 years younger than her.
He lived in London and was part of a group of
dancers who entertained soldiers during World War II.
He spent time with Mahatma Gandhi, Nöel Coward
and the Dalai Lama and lived in Hollywood, where he began teaching yoga.
"The best thing that has happened to me is
to see someone that you are teaching him to say that he can not do this or he
can not do that" ... And suddenly a smile on his face begins to appear and
he realizes that they can do it That's the biggest satisfaction I've ever had,
"he told the BBC.
In 1963 he married an insurance salesman, Bill
Lynch, with whom he shared his passion for wine to the extent that both founded
the American Wine Society.
After Lynch's death in a motorcycle accident in
1982, she turned her life over to yoga.
"When you are in touch with your inner you
are in contact with your breath of life, you can not avoid it.The first thing
that has to be learned is to breathe and move with your breath. It has to come
from your body," he explained.
Porchon-Lynch said that in addition to wine
they also have a weakness for tea, although they never baby water.
Her rise to fame came in 2012, when she was
officially recognized as the oldest active yoga teacher and when she modeled a
series of photographs of yoga by photographer Robert Sturman.
A philosophy that applies to itself because, in
addition to yoga, continues to drive, just released a book telling their
experiences and has won several awards as a dancer, activity in which began at
age 87.
However, for her the most important thing still
happens in the privacy of her study.
"I had this experience with this guy who
came to one of my classes in Baltimore and was with tears in his eyes because
of the pain he was suffering, that he had gone to see many doctors and took all
kinds of pills but that nothing was useful" , He said.
"But when I showed him a couple of things,
putting his head on the wall, he said that for the first time he did not feel
sick for a long time."
And what he preaches also puts it into
practice.
"I had three hip arthroplasty and the
doctors told me that I would not be able to do a series of things," he
recalled.
"I showed them I could do it and I keep
doing it. Maybe not in the same way as when I was younger, but I take a deep
breath and make it possible."
A way of facing life
They asked: How many times has your age limited
you? On how many occasions have you justified that you are too 'old' to do
anything? Insurance more than once. For Tao Porchon-Lynch, age has not been a
problem as it has not limited her to doing yoga and being a professional
dancer.
They say that faith in oneself and the desire
to live are good medicines and that shows daily. This nonagenarian woman has
trained and certified hundreds of yoga instructors since she founded the
Westchester Yoga Institute in 1982. Tao has over 70 years of practice in this
age-old discipline and over 45 years of teaching yoga to students at India,
France and the United States.
As a young man he worked as a model in Europe
before moving to the United States, where he has practiced yoga for nearly 50
years. Nowadays, he attends a dozen students a week, and he does not tire of
repeating them, with a smile on his mouth, who has no intention of retiring.
Tao is an example of what people can do and a
stimulus for older adults. Professionals encourage octogenarians to seek a
sport according to their circumstances and to try, as this can relieve their
pain and help them feel more independent.
Undoubtedly Tao Porchon-Lynch is a supermodel
of those who want to see and follow.Source: the world, bbc.
It is an example to follow, not only by elderly
people, but also by young people who need to find a referent that helps them to
take strength and courage in the face of adversity of their life or for anyone who
is tired of carrying a heavy backpack that if We think that it serves us, the
answer will be: "of nothing".
