THE BATTLE OF CHILDHOOD OBESITY
On May 8 I read an interesting article about childhood obesity and the factors that caused in our country today, the second European country with more overweight children. We do not realize that the first years of life are key to establishing healthy habits and continue to believe that a fat child is a healthy child is doing that child ceases to be healthy in their adolescence and maturity.
Pregnancy or have to eat for two or plump babies are stronger. Habits in the early years of life and even during pregnancy can influence children to have greater propensity to gain kilos. "The balance must be sought between what you eat and what you burn" task easy to control, but if it is true, you have to teach children to eat and that will depend on the knowledge of parents and purchasing power the family. Let us not forget that healthy eating is not cheap and less when they focus on fresh produce, and that if it is a reality.

Spain is the second European country with the fattest children, behind Greece. Andalusia, the community that leads the ranking in Spain. The Mediterranean diet, which we presume, it has been gobbled the crisis. Powerful advertisements of industrial power has done and is doing much harm, especially to children and entering them things through the eyes, like the elderly. If we add armchair habits, navigation games, etc ... we have a fantastic broth culture for obesity.
We are not able to boot or teach our children to wear slippers and go outside, walk, run, play sports, or investigate the field, any exercise is good to be active and burn calories and that is a pending subject parental.

80% of obese or overweight kids are older, having more risk of developing heart disease, diabetes and other diseases. "If the problem is not tackled, we will have in the future adult patients. The costs that entails. "
The battle against child to begun obesity and you have to change habits, physical inactivity and junk food have become the greatest enemies of healthy living, without forgetting the sugar, sometimes abused to provide better flavor or just consumed in products that appeal to children and not to overindulge (biscuits, pastries, sweets ...) therefore, here are some important ideas.
Industrial pastries, buns have been incorporated into the diet of many kids in recent years. "You have to replace the packaged food for a piece of fruit or a sandwich made at home."

Should not encourage the development of sweet or salty taste. It is not a question of replacing sugar by something else, it is more a matter of gradually reduce the amount consumed.
Experts agree 5 meals daily. Breakfast must be strong and complete. Do not forget that the brain runs on glucose.
Another situation is to ask children who want to have lunch or dinner, that's a mistake. Let them share in what they eat, teach them that they can grab a burger or a healthy pizza, made with good ingredients. It is very important to eat with them, keep that routine, and show that adults give up things they like.
But the importance of caring food should go in parallel with physical activity. A child should do 60 minutes of aerobic exercise daily.

The subject is so important and worrying that there are many famous in the cause, as the British chef Jamie Oliver, Ferran Adriá, Michelle Obama ... all try to contribute their grain of sand, teaching eat and give ideas to change unhealthy habits.
Back when television was a luxury, when distances were great and the cars were not popular, people were much more sport out of necessity but also that made them become stronger and the food they ate were natural providing minerals, vitamins and amino acids, from, legumes, vegetables, fruit and some protein. I think we should think about it and try to change our own habits to instill and teach our children to be and grow better than us or at least not worse than we are with so many resources we have nearby.
