COLOR DE LOS ALIMENTOS Y SUS PROPIEDADES / FOOD COLORS AND ITS PROPERTIES

LA RELACION: COLOR DE LOS  ALIMENTOS, SUS PROPIEDADES Y CONDICIONES CLIMATICAS.
Como todos sabemos las frutas y las verduras , aportan a nuestra nutrición vitaminas y minerales . Por ese motivo deben estar siempre presentes en nuestra dieta diaria.
Pero también según sus propiedades poseen un color determinado. Hoy vamos a ver algunos de los más conocidos y fáciles de encontrar en el mercado según la temporada.

ROJO:
De color rojo tenemos los tomates, sandías, pomelo rosado, guayaba. Todos son ricos en licopeno y anticianinas siendo beneficios  para combatir el cáncer de próstata y mejora la salud del corazón.

ROJO MORADO:
Con este color encontramos uvas, ciruelas secas, manzanas, arándanos, moras negras , fresas… que aportan flavonoides. Sus beneficios disuelven coágulos, pueden prevenir enfermedades cardíacas.

NARANJA:
De color naranja hay la batata, zanahorias, albaricoques, melón de cáscara naranja y calabaza. Estas frutas y verduras aportan alfa y betacarotenos beneficiando a nuestro sistema inmunológico.

NARANJA-AMARILLO:
Las naranjas, mandarinas y melocotones aportan criptoxantina y ayuda a combatir el cáncer.

AMARILLO-VERDE:
Espinacas, maíz amarillo, guisantes, aguacates, melón de cáscara verde aportando luteína, zeaxantina. Entre otros beneficios esta la protección de la retina de cataratas y degeneración macular.

VERDE INTENSO:
Coles de Bruselas, brécol. Estos vegetales aportan sulforafán y sus beneficios son  potasio, vitaminas C y K y ácido fólico.

BLANCO:
Ajo y cebolla. Sus nutrientes son potasio y fitoquímicos y sus beneficios son la reducción del colesterol, baja presión arterial y previene la diabetes.

BLANCO-VERDOSO:
Ajo, cebolla, escarola. Nos aprovisionan de organosulfuros, flavonoides y ayudan a disolver los coágulos.

AZUL- MORADO:
Moras azules. Estas moras nos aportan antocianina y antioxidante beneficiándonos el funcionamiento del cerebro.

Después de tener clasificados algunos alimentos , ahora vamos a hablar de  que comer según la temporada o las condiciones climáticas.
El organismo es un delicado sistema que, para funcionar en forma armónica, debe estar “en sintonía” con los factores externos. Para terminar con las diversas molestias producto de un estilo de vida incorrecto, el primer paso es llevar un plan nutricional adecuado al lugar en el que se vive.
Es frecuente que , cuando nuestros hábitos alimenticios desentonan con los factores ambientales que nos rodean, desarrollamos diferentes síntomas, un ejemplo, es cuando hace calor , se suele sentir predilección por las comidas ligeras y buscar refrescarse a través de lo que se ingiere. Ante el frío, el organismo reacciona solicitando alimentos sustanciosos y de alto valor calórico. Este es el sistema que el cuerpo utiliza para poderse equilibrar.
Seguir una dieta no es solo un cambio de hábitos y alimentación durante un periodo de tiempo más o menos largo, hablamos de un modo de vida nuevo que conlleva a ese cambio alimenticio teniendo en cuenta el clima, la edad , nuestras necesidades y nuestra salud.
Cuando se toma un alimento que es incompatible con el clima, sentiremos una sensación desapacible , cansancio, decaimiento, nerviosismo… por tanto los niveles de rendimiento físico e intelectual suelen decrecer gradualmente.

Sugerencias de que comer según el clima
Climas secos o templados: Nuestras reservas de agua disminuyen debido a que nuestro cuerpo necesita aumentar su consumo. Por esta razón, hay que ingerir aquellos alimentos que sean ricos en agua, para rehidratar el cuerpo.
Podemos comer frutas y verduras crudas, productos lácteos, cereales, huevo, patata y batata. Por otro lado, podemos disminuir la ingesta de alimentos que requieren un largo período de cocción.

Climas húmedos: El cuerpo tiene su propia reserva de agua, en el caso de este tipo de climas, es preciso consumir alimentos que admitan, en su elaboración, la presencia de fuego y tratar de reducir el exceso de agua.
Se puede comer frutas y verduras cocidas, cereales integrales, platos elaborados ( ej. Guisos). Por otro lado, habría que reducir la ingesta de frutas y vegetales crudos . Bebidas.

Climas  cálidos: En estos climas la presencia del sol es mayor, también será mayor la cantidad de agua que necesita el cuerpo para funcionar en forma eficiente. Por tanto, se deben consumir frutas y vegetales frescos en forma de ensalada, cereales y legumbres .  Beber agua en abundancia.  Habría que reducir la ingestión de alimentos muy densos, excesiva cantidad de aceite. Los productos lácteos deben consumirse con moderación.

Climas fríos: En bajas temperaturas, el cuerpo necesita alimentos que mantengan el calor. Se tendría que comer cereales integrales que necesiten un tiempo de cocción mayor que lo normal ( arroz integral, garbanzos, alubias aduki), vegetales cocidos, derivados lácteos. Para cocinar , es necesario aumentar la cantidad de aceite que se emplea. Hay que reducir la ingesta de frutas y vegetales crudos.

RED:
