CASA BALINESA
En toda casa balinesa vive toda
la familia y ellos entienden por “toda” padres, hijos, abuelos… Estas casas,
nosotros las llamaríamos recintos ya que ocupan una extensión de terreno
bastante grande, la cual se encuentra amurallada tienen una puerta principal bastante estrecha,
quizás 70 cm, no más. Lo primero que vemos es una placa que nos informa de la
familia, algo así como un censo familiar que incluye: nombre, barrio, nº de la vivienda,
cuántos hombres, mujeres y niños componen
la familia...
A los lados de la puerta
encontramos dos pilares, uno en cada lado donde encontramos uno hueco en cada
uno en la parte alta de los mismos. Estos huecos sirven para poner las ofrendas
dos veces al día a los espíritus, al igual que se ponen en suelo, en la parte
de fuera. El motivo es que de este modo los espíritus se alimentan antes de
entrar en la casa y por tanto ya no tienen necesidad de entrar dentro. En la
parte de debajo de cada pilar hay dos “guardianes” que normalmente son dos figuras, leones de
piedra, o dioses que tienen la finalidad de la protección según creencias
Hinduistas., etc… que son los encargados
de salvaguardar la vivienda de dichos espíritus. De todos modos, aunque
quisieran entran, les sería imposible ya que hay un muro de unos 90 cm de alto
que construyen enfrente de la puerta principal (por la parte de dentro de la
vivienda) que obstruye la entrada de los espíritus si insistieran en entrar. No
hay que olvidar que los espíritus solo
se mueven en línea recta, nunca utilizan otro movimiento, así que chocarían.
Curioso, creedme.
Cada estancia de la casa ( la
nuestra) para ellos es como un pequeño pabellón común, es decir, tienen una
pequeña estancia para la cocina, otra para el granero y otra los servicios,
estos siempre están orientados al Sur ( parte negativa o impura según el
hinduismo). Como curiosidad os diré que en las casas balinesas, la persona que
cocina es la mujer mas mayor que hay en ella , haciéndolo una vez por día y
dejando la comida para que cada componente de la familia coma cuando le
apetezca. Allí no existe la reunión de comida familiar , tal y como nosotros la
conocemos.
Orientado al Norte (parte
positiva y pura), están las habitaciones , la del matrimonio joven donde solo
duerme la pareja , ya que necesitan intimidad y la habitación de los padres
donde duermen conjuntamente con los hijos.
Al Oeste, se sitúa la habitación
de los abuelos que solo tienen una pared ( ya no necesitan privacidad, solo
descanso).
En cada casa hay siempre un
templo que puede ser pequeño o grande, donde se hacen las ofrendas a los
espíritus de los seres queridos que hemos perdido. El Templo se orienta a la
montaña y el mar ( parte pura e impura respectivamente).
También hay una estancia para la
reunión de la familia , algo así como un comedor . Esta estancia es utilizada
por el hombre de la casa para tomar sus decisiones y para el resto de familia
para hablar o ver la televisión , si la tuvieran.

En el Hinduismo , lo más
importante es mantener el equilibrio entre el bien y el mal, lo puro e impuro,
relacionándolo y aceptándolo para conseguir ese equilibrio.
En realidad , todas las
orientaciones de estancias y la esencia de como situar las estancias siguen al
Feng Shui.

(English) Balinese House
In every Balinese house live the whole family
and they mean by "all" parents, children, grandparents ... These
houses, we would call enclosures as they have a fairly large tract of land,
which is walled with a rather narrow front door, perhaps 70 cm, not more. The
first thing we see is a plaque that tells us the family, something like a
family census includes: name, area, number of housing, how many men, women and
children comprise the family ...
At the sides of the door there are two
abutments, one on each side which includes one hole in each one at the top
thereof. These holes serve to the twice daily offerings to the spirits, like
put in soil, on the outside. The reason is that in this way the spirits are fed
before entering the house and therefore no longer need to come inside. At the
bottom of each pillar there are two "gatekeepers" who are usually two
figures, stone lions, or gods that are intended to protect as Hindu beliefs.,
Etc ... that are responsible for safeguarding the home of such spirits .
Anyway, if they wanted to come, it would be impossible because there is a wall
about 90 cm tall building opposite the main gate (for the inside of the house)
that blocks the entrance of the spirits if they insist on entering . Do not
forget that the spirits only move in straight lines, never use another move, so
collide. Curious, believe me.
Each room in the house (ours) for them is like
a little common flag, ie have a small room to the kitchen, one for the barn and
other services, these are always facing south (the negative or impure according
Hinduism). As a curiosity I will tell you that in Balinese houses, the cook is
the oldest woman in it, making it once a day and leaving food for each
component of the family to eat whenever you please. There exists no family
dinner meeting, as we know it.
North-oriented (upside and pure), are the
rooms, the young couple where the couple sleeps only because they need privacy
and parents' room where they sleep together with their children.
To the west, lies the room for the grandparents
who have only one wall (and do not need privacy, just rest).
In every
house there is always a temple that can be small or large, where they make
offerings to the spirits of loved ones we have lost. The temple is oriented to
the mountains and the sea (part pure and impure respectively).
There is
also a meeting room for the family, something like a dining room. This room is
used by the man of the house to make decisions and for the rest of the family
to talk or watch TV, if any.
In Hinduism, the most important thing is to
keep the balance between good and evil, pure and impure, relating and accepting
to achieve that balance.
In fact,
all orientations of the essence stays and stays put as following the Feng Shui.
