Cuidado!! No
advierto: luego no quiero quejas. Las elecciones son libres y todas conllevan
renuncias, responsabilidades y luchas.
justas. ¿Conllevaría a demasiados detractores?
a best sellers.

THE WAR OF SEXES: CALLED FEMINISMS?
I always say that my country is
not only the best in the world, it is also the country where we will never
learn to move at a midpoint. But I must admit that it is not a thing, only, of
my country, also of the rest of the World and it is already known, badly of
many, consolation of fools.
But I want to return to the topic
I want to talk about and it is about that "war of the sexes" that we
call feminism today. I have always thought that when you do not talk about a
topic, it seems that this issue does not exist but when you talk too much and "burn",
that topic ends up losing interest and intensity and that is what I think is
happening with the new demands of feminism, the object of all this is being
lost.
There are messages everywhere,
critics everywhere, colors, ties, days for the working woman, for the woman ...
but not a single law has been modified and the real problems that exist no one
has moved a finger. Everything is based on the underestimation and victimhood
that both parties use according to convenience and that is a big mistake.
In fact, when we hear about
feminism, about struggles against machismo, I think we are mixing terms and
that leads us to lose a bit the horizon of what we want. But the worst thing is
that when we hear again, on this subject, many of us already turn the
"nose" saying the same song again .... And that is bad for us. There
is no better weapon than demotivation when you want to weaken someone. Watch
out!! I do not speak of an adversary because there is none.
I consider myself a feminist and
I believe that women should have a more important role in society and not
precisely as mothers or housewives: two options, not two obligations.
Saving physical differences with
men, I believe that we deserve to have the same opportunities and the same
difficulties being able to choose at all times like any man. But I notice: then
I do not want complaints. The elections are free and all involve resignations,
responsibilities and struggles. You can not have everything.
There are two major blights in
our Western society that I believe should be annihilated. The first is sexual
labor harassment and the second is gender abuse. These are problems that must
be eliminated and you can not go ahead until the laws change and the people who
have the power to do it, do not take it seriously and decide to do something
about it.
We are all against macho violence
but no one is able to argue, solidly, injustice like that of an abusive father
and denounced for it asks to see their children, the battered wife panics
because she may not see her children ever more and to disappear with them, in
the end loses custody and over the judge and can go to jail ... sure we will
say: "I do not respect the law", true but is that respect the law and
psychological well-being of their children while hit his wife?
The abusive men, who wear hand
and ankle bracelets, pull their wife off the balcony or stab her ... and we
hear it so many times that it is already something abnormal in society. It
seems that we fall back into those political strategies of: let's make a lot of
noise stop the hit, we nod as if we care what happens or we listen ... that
like everything in life, it will happen and we will continue without having to
make decisions that maybe politically speaking we could harm. Until next time.
I do not know if I am right or
not, but I must say what I think, I must speak what I believe and I think we
should all reflect on it. Let's not get carried away by the impetus, observe,
think and act. That no one can take us out of the right path.
I believe that the mistreatment
of gender is not a pathology that needs a cure, as if it were a disease. It is
impunity, it is to continue with almost ancestral laws that nobody wants to
modify and update them, making them fairer. Would it lead to too many
detractors?
We talked about sexual harassment
as if we were talking about soup, as everyone knows, it's box populi ... but
until someone does not dare to denounce it and splashes someone famous, they do
not take things a little more seriously.
I do not want to fall into the
temptation that man is always to blame but one thing must be recognized, and
that is that any of these acts impossible to understand are carried out by men.
Whether due to culture or lack of culture, power or abuse of power, inferiority
complex, excess of money ... the woman is the most affected.
Having said that and claimed the
issues that concern me, I want to introduce you to a woman, Christina Hoff
Sommers and her new point of view on the new feminism.
She is a philosopher and critic
of contemporary feminism and tries to explain why feminism has become a word
that dislikes many women and is unfair to many men.
Feminism is a movement that was
born to achieve rights for women as well as equal opportunities.
However, we can not fall into the
temptation that in the name of feminism and all that surrounds it, we
stigmatize all men, because it would be just as unfair.
According to Christina, there are
many women who do not identify with "current feminism" because it is
a term associated with anger, lack of humor and the spirit of revenge against
men.
Feminism is that the law stops
being partisan, that society accepts, once and for all, that we deserve equal
opportunities and that we have rights that must be respected. It's not about
being like men, it's about being women and being offered the same in the same
conditions as men.
We can not go from feminism that
struggles for equal rights and freedoms, to the idea that women are all born as
potential victims of men. Let's not fall victimist feminism based on non-global
statistics. I think we should use the tools we have not only to solve real
problems, such as gender abuse and wage inequality (same studies, same post and
same hours) which is something that nobody can say is an invention, too we must
fight for women who belong to other cultures and who have no right to anything,
although here I appeal and I say: we have to change societies and sometimes we
have to perish to achieve something.
Let's not fall victim to
demagogues that make us lose all credibility and do not reinforce us at all.
Let's focus the forces on the imperative issues and that who should move, who
does, not only with advertising campaigns or beautiful speeches that always
lead to best sellers.
Let's be realistic and for once,
take the right path, let's meet at the midpoint to solve problems that can not
wait any longer.
