EL SENDERO DEL BERRO: MURCIA

Los domingos son días especiales a los que dedico para hacer senderismo. Un día a la semana, estar en contacto con la naturaleza y escuchar el silencio, siempre es una buena terapia para oxigenar la cabeza del estres semanal, si además añadimos unas vistas envidiables y bonitas, pues… no se puede pedir más.

Este domingo toco el sendero del berro. Se encuentra en la Sierra Espuña, Murcia. Es circular, por tanto , perfecto para poder hacer un buen recorrido viendo cosas y descubriendo lugares nuevos tanto al comienzo de la caminata como en el final. 

Tiene un total de 11km de recorrido y se puede hacer en unas 3 horas, si no nos perdemos o cogemos una vía que no es la marcada, entonces, se puede alargar un poco más. El desnivel es de unos 297 mt y la dificultad es media, sobretodo porque hay un tramo muy pedregoso (cauce de barranco).

Bien cogimos el coche dirección Alhama  y dirigiéndonos hacia Sierra Espuña. Llegamos a la Perdiz, desde donde empezamos el sendero. Sin duda, que se puede empezar desde El Berro pero si se empieza desde la Perdiz las sensaciones son diferentes y yo lo sugiero.

Empezamos a caminar cogiendo el sendero GR-252, por detrás del área recreativa de la Perdiz. El paisaje que se ve es de pinos y vegetación típica mediterránea, continuamos por el sendero que en este tramo está muy bien señalizado. Es un día soleado y lleno de brillo así que todo toma una belleza especial a medida abrimos camino. Llega un momento donde nos encontramos un puente de madera y que debajo se puede observar una huella de dinosaurio. Continuamos el camino por el barranco donde las vistas más espectaculares se encuentran mirando hacia atrás, las majestuosas paredes de Leiva y pinares salpicados por olivos repletos de frutos.

Nos encontramos en casa del Pocico donde continuamos por el GR-252 y donde las señalizaciones son estupendas y sencillas. En este momento no adentramos en el barranco de las brujas, lugar lleno de hierbas aromáticas en flor, enebros verdes, pinos …. Nos acercamos al Berro donde abrimos una verja que nos da paso a un sendero poblado de casas con campo de frutales hacia el camping, en este punto, tomaremos la carretera que cruza el Barranco de El Berro y asciende hacia Sierra Espuña (PR.MU 79). Dejaremos la carretera y las preciosas panorámicas de El Berro y el Morrón de Alhama, para seguir con atención las marcas que nos adentran en la sierra por el Camino del Agüica y el Camino del Lomo. Cuidado aquí pues nosotros no lo pasamos de largo y seguimos por la carretera. No pasa nada, pues al final converge con sendero pero es algo más largo y luego cuesta más orientarse.  Seguimos por el PR-MU 79 direccion A Alhama hasta llegar a dos cortafuegos, en este punto hay que fijarse bien en las señales pues no están muy visibles y hay tramos que las líneas amarilla y blanca la sustituyen por una flecha azul, cuidado con esto pues os puede llevar a error.

Continuamos por el sendero dejando la casa Leiva a mano derecha. Esta casa es como un centro de colonias y familiar donde los domingos las familias llevan comida y pueden comer en pleno pinar disfrutando de un día de campo. Continuamos por el sendero que va paralelo a la pista viendo el antiguo sanatorio y casi enfrente se pude ver la virgen de Pilar. La senda continua y en este momento estamos en el sendero PR-MU 41 que nos llevará , de nuevo a la Perdiz.

Fue una experiencia estupenda en contacto con la naturaleza y su belleza pero también un buen ejercicio. Si lo hacéis espero que os guste.

EL BERRO TRAIL: MURCIA

Sundays are special days that I dedicate to make hiking. One day a week, being in contact with nature and listening to silence, is always a good therapy to oxygenate the head of the weekly stress, if we also add some enviable and beautiful views, because ... you can not ask for more.

This Sunday I touch the trail of watercress. It is located in the Sierra Espuña, Murcia. It is circular, therefore, perfect to be able to make a good tour seeing things and discovering new places both at the beginning of the walk and at the end.

It has a total of 11km of route and can be done in about 3 hours, if we do not get lost or take a route that is not marked, then it can be extended a little more. The slope is about 297 mt and the difficulty is medium, especially because there is a very stony stretch (gully).

Well we took the car direction Alhama and heading towards Sierra Espuña. We arrived at the Partridge, from where we started the trail. Undoubtedly, you can start from El Berro but if you start from the Partridge the sensations are different and I suggest it.

We started walking along the GR-252 trail, behind the recreational area of ​​the Partridge. The landscape is of pine and typical Mediterranean vegetation, we continue along the path that in this section is very well signposted. It's a sunny day and full of brightness so everything takes on a special beauty as we make our way. There comes a moment where we find a wooden bridge and below you can see a dinosaur footprint. We continue the path along the ravine where the most spectacular views are looking back, the majestic walls of Leiva and pine trees dotted with olive trees full of fruits.

We are at the Pocico house where we continue along the GR-252 and where the signs are great and simple. At this moment we do not enter the witch ravine, place full of aromatic herbs in bloom, green junipers, pines .... We approach the Berro where we open a gate that leads to a path full of houses with fruit fields towards the campsite, at this point, we will take the road that crosses the Barranco de El Berro and ascends to Sierra Espuña (PR.MU 79 ). We will leave the road and the beautiful panoramas of El Berro and the Morrón de Alhama, to follow with attention the marks that enter us in the mountains by the Way of the Agüica and the Way of the Lomo. Careful here as we did not pass it by and we followed the road. Nothing happens, because at the end it converges with path but it is something longer and then it costs more to be oriented. We follow the PR-MU 79 direction A Alhama until you reach two firewalls, at this point you have to look carefully at the signs as they are not very visible and there are sections that the yellow and white lines replace by a blue arrow, watch out for this Because it can lead you to error.

Continue along the path leaving Leiva house on the right. This house is like a center of colonies and family where on Sundays families take food and can eat in the pines enjoying a picnic. We continue along the path that runs parallel to the track, looking at the old sanatorium and almost in front of it we could see the virgin of Pilar. The path continues and at this moment we are on the path PR-MU 41 that will take us back to the Partridge.

It was a great experience in contact with nature and its beauty but also a good exercise. If you do, I hope you like it.
