o atún. Son algunos de los típicos clichés gastronómicos de este target sin
distinción de sexo ni de edad que recrimina no conseguir un aliado en la
industria de alimentos, pues este suele pensar solo en las parejas o en las
familias numerosas, sin considerar que el número de personas que viven solas en
el mundo pasó de 153 millones en 1996 a 277 millones en 2011, según cifras de
la organización Euromonitor International.

quienes viven solos están imponiendo su

Carlos de la
Calle es quien está detrás del blog “ un soltero en la cocina”. Español, 49
años, soltero, fotógrafo y amante de la cocina. Una mezcla de ingredientes perfecta para cocinar
un proyecto gastronómico, que condimentó con la ayuda de María Dolores Jiménez
y que cuenta con 5000 fans en Facebook.
El blog surge
para intentar mostrar una cocina sencilla pero rica. Alejada de los
estereotipos de la comida para solteros de pizza, burgers, fritos. Intento
hacer una cocina parecida a la de mi mamá, pero habiéndola más sencilla,
adaptada al poco tiempo. Es una cocina para subsistir, pero digamos que un
soltero que sabe cocinar tiene un plus.
El chef
venezolano Pocho Garcés y el panadero Juan Carlos Bruzual se valieron de
twitter para crear el proyecto
comidadesoltero. Ambos, conocedores del tema culinario, comenzaron haciendo un contrapunteo de recetas de 140
caracteres, que más tarde se materializó en un libro que titularon si te
cocino, te como y en más de 36 talleres que dictaron en Venezuela.
Aunque al hablar
de soltería siempre se piensa en los hombres, este tema no es exclusivo del
sexo masculino. Y para muestra un botón. Del grupo de participantes que asistieron a los cursos de comida para
solteros que dictaron Garcés y Bruzual, casi el 70% eran mujeres. Una tendencia
que se repite en el caos de la Facebook donde el 95% son mujeres.
Catalina Alba
también puede dar fe de ello. Ella hace cursos para enseñar a preparar almuerzos para llevar a casa y ofrece recetas
en su blog. El perfil de quien acude por
su ayuda es el de mujeres que buscan ideas a la hora de cocinar.
El principal
argumento es salir de la monotonía porque siempre preparan lo mismo, mejorar
sus habilidades culinarias, saber qué comprar y no desperdiciar. También
encontrar soluciones que sean rápidas o que no les tomen mucho tiempo en la
cocina, afirma Alba.
Está claro que
la cocina no tiene que ser una guerra de sexos. Tanto ellas como ellos buscan
