apunta a cifras realmente preocupantes.

List of products
against cholesterol
A study by Harvard University has enabled the
definitive list of foods that can reduce and even eliminate the risk factors of
heart attack and stroke. This article was written by Sara Cabrero and I find it
interesting for all those people who want to prevent or keep cholesterol in check
by good of our health.
Control of what we eat good food and have
become a major concern at this time. Bad habits that has imposed the pace of
modern life has unleashed health problem that many try to tackle all possible
ways. A good example is cholesterol, a risk factor for heart attack and stroke,
which daily affects more people. Recent research points to really disturbing
figures. According to the study of Nutrition and Cardiovascular Risk in Spain,
half of the adult population has high cholesterol.
Many people looking at this issue magic
formulas that proliferate uncontrollably in the network. And on the other side
of the ledger reports they are located, such as the prestigious Harvard Medical
School, showing the list of the most effective foods to help lower cholesterol.
A hypercholesterolemic diet should contain
oats, barley and other whole grains; but it should also include legumes,
eggplant, okra, vegetable oil, apples, grapes, strawberries and citrus, soy or
fatty fish, among the most significant.
Oats: Rich in proteins of high biological
value, as well as in fat and a number of vitamins and minerals, oatmeal is the
cereal with the highest proportion of vegetable fat. It consists of a set of
substances whose effect has been shown to reduce plasma cholesterol rates.
Known as unsaturated fats, avenasterol, fiber or lecithin are one example. The
former contain linoleic essential fatty acid which is of high quality, while
the avenasterol, for example, is a phytosterol that reduces the cholesterol
absorption in the intestine.
Vegetables. Experts say that the phytochemical
components that can be found in these foods can reduce serum cholesterol, but
also prevent the formation of cholesterol deposits. Legumes contain lectins
which promote blood cholesterol transport and metabolism preventing this stay
accumulated in the walls of arteries and saponins, which reduce its absorption
in the digestive tract.
Barley Beta-glucan is one of the components
that make this product one of the most effective in the fight against
cholesterol. Recent studies have shown to be very effective in reducing most
harmful LDL. But there are other components in barley that can help us improve
our health. His name is tocotrienol and is a form of vitamin E with an
interesting antioxidant effect. In addition, this compound is not only found in
barley specifically in the shell can also be found in foods such as rice or
oats.
Okra: A vegetable rich in soluble fiber
and mucilages, protects the gastrointestinal mucosa. It is little known in our
country and is usually eaten in salad, soup or as a garnish for meat or fish.

Nuts: Nuts are the main protagonists to
lower cholesterol when it comes. This food contains linolenic acid, a compound
that we transform in omega 3. Also, also has phytosterols.
Oil: Olive oil is still king in any
healthy diet that boasts. Liquid Gold is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids,
vitamin E and phytosterols.
Soybeans: has linoleic and oleic acids,
which results in a high nutritional fat. But also they have lecithin and
isoflavones, which have proven to perform a function of inhibiting platelet
aggregation and antioxidant activity of high density lipoproteins.
Eggplant, apple,
grape, strawberry and citrus: Fiber is the great benefit that the ingestion of these products will
grant our body. This compound limits and delays the intestinal absorption of
cholesterol.
Fish: Oily fish should be a constant in
all healthy menu that boasts. Containing an average of ten grams of fat rich in
polyunsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3 series and are capable of lowering
plasma triglycerides and increase arterial vasodilation, reduce the risk of
thrombosis and regulate blood pressure.
