hortalizas amazónicas, flores, frutales y plantas medicinales.
nunca.
Saludos

WORLD AMAZON
Not long ago, in my stay in Colombia visited an
amazing place in Leticia, Amazonas.
This place is called Amazon World and I, not
only mentioning if not fully discuss it because it is a place that everyone
should visit it approaches that lung World called Amazon.
It is a Theme And Ecological Park but did not
think that it is a "turistada", this is far from reality. This is a
natural corner that offers all the riches and the secrets of the jungle.
It is a tourist attraction for Amazon
conservation and contemplation, located at Km 7.7, Leticia-Tarapaca Road.
Botanical Garden features, Ecotherapy in understory, cultural scenarios, etc
...
Not to get into the thick jungle for two days
to discover the secrets of the Amazon. Sure, that would be ideal, but this
time, money and a great physical effort is required. But, just 15 minutes from
the rural town of Leticia, you can live a fascinating experience in the park
Mundo Amazon. "It's like going to the jungle, but 15 minutes from the
city," says Rafael Clavijo, a Colombian publicist of 36 years who left a
promising career in Australia to do an idea that came prowling in the head long
ago actually: an ecological park that would serve to restore ecosystems in the
region and to foster tourism; all focused on the natural and cultural wealth of
the Amazon, his native country.
Three years ago, score, his family bought a
batch that had been devastated by the cattle business. The work of
environmental remediation and recovery for two years, always in the hands of
his mother, Mary Pardo, who is his partner and squire. In 2011, after planning
how this business model work, the park opened with a bet of family business,
combining tourism with environmental preservation.
At first, as in any business that is being
born, had many difficulties. However, with their savings, with much effort,
research, passion and creativity, decided to continue fighting to make your
project the great reality it is today. And although it takes very little time,
says he is convinced that the park will live the rest of his life.
Rafael Clavijo is clear about what you expect
from your park in five years: "We work hard to have many more attractions:
an aquarium, a butterfly, we are already building new routes and trails. We
also hope to be a large pantry herbs and typical products of the Amazon, made
by indigenous communities, "he says. So, not only have an additional
income from the production and marketing of these fruits of the forest, but
will generate employment and social development.
Through its 29 hectares, visitors can learn 300
native species; discover that amount (and variety) in the Amazon itself would
require two days of expedition, in Mt. But here the tour lasts three hours and
includes two routes. The first is through the botanical garden, a paradise
planted with trees, Amazon vegetables, flowers, fruit trees and medicinal
plants. The second is a sensory experience the forest: the traveler comes into
contact with vegetation, taste aromatic drinks and meet their properties and,
in turn, receives information about the lifestyle and traditions of indigenous
communities in the area.
In its first year of work, it attracted some
two thousand visitors, half of them foreigners. And I was honored to be a model
of exemplary business: Venture received the 2011 Award, which recognizes the
best environmental experiences of the Amazon, in the "sustainable use of
biodiversity." All for a tourist project that aims to preserve the natural
heritage and ancient culture of the Amazon.
If you have a chance to visit it, doubt it not
worth it, not only for the great work done, also to discover the native natural
intelligence and survival.
I learned a lot and in fact thanks to this
visit, I discovered many medicinal plants and their uses, which I'll report on
different post.
But most important of all was that he first
became aware of the power of nature and wealth for the first time I became
aware of what nature offers us and the life and the little respect we have him,
I raise awareness of the need to preserve everything that gives us life because
as huitoma (sage of the tribe) said Amazon is the lungs of the world, is the
basis of life out there because of the raw materials for medicines, those who
help us to overcome disease, help us to live with quality of life, feeds us, nourishes
us.
But as always, when all we have easy no
valuation exists and even less when we live based on pure ignorance.
I hope I never forget this lesson.
Not only are trees, aromatic and medicinal plants, you can also see wonderful and colorful native flowers that decorate the trails.
You can also see small buildings made from recycled bottles and other waste plastic filled and located so that you can create walls ... decorative items using the neck or base of bottles placing them so that you can make curtains or material well "windows" around the park is a school of respect and creation.
